MCP and integrations
Connect tryVidimus to an AI assistant or to an API tool.
Published on npm. The MCP server and the command-line tool are published on npm under the MIT licence: the install commands below work today, like the ChatGPT and Postman setups.
Claude (MCP)
Claude talks to tryVidimus through an MCP server: a small program that runs on your computer and calls the API with your key. It gives Claude nine tools, and only one of them writes anything.
On npm: @tryvidimus/mcp
Claude Code
Add the server with one command:
$ claude mcp add tryvidimus -e TRYVIDIMUS_API_KEY=sk_test_… -- npx -y @tryvidimus/mcp
Claude Desktop
Open Settings, then Developer, then Edit config, and add:
{
"mcpServers": {
"tryvidimus": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@tryvidimus/mcp"],
"env": { "TRYVIDIMUS_API_KEY": "sk_test_…" }
}
}
}
The tools
create_capture_session— Creates a capture session and returns the link to send to the person who takes the photos. The only tool that writes.list_proofs— Lists your proofs, with filters.get_proof— Status of a proof, its stage, why it failed, its files.get_media_access_link— A temporary link to the signed copy of a file (never the original).verify_proof— Recomputes the fingerprints and checks the timestamp of a proof (and, for older proofs timestamped in a batch, its inclusion in the batch), without trusting our server.list_webhook_endpoints— Lists your webhook endpoints (never the secrets).get_credits— Your balance in euros: added, spent, left.list_credit_transactions— The balance movements: funds added, and debits with the proof that caused them.list_capture_templates— Your capture templates, whose names you give when creating a session. Read-only: templates are managed from the API or the command line.
Use a sandbox key (sk_test_…). The server refuses a production key unless you set TRYVIDIMUS_MCP_ALLOW_LIVE=true. The key stays in the environment: it is never given to the model.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT cannot start a program on your computer, so it cannot use the MCP server. Create a custom GPT with an Action instead: ChatGPT then calls the API itself, from the schema.
- In ChatGPT, create a GPT, open Configure, then Create new action.
- Choose Import from URL and paste the schema address:
- Under Authentication, choose API Key, then Bearer, and paste a sandbox key (sk_test_…).
- Test an operation in the preview.
https://api.tryvidimus.com/openapi.json
Everyone who uses your GPT calls the API with the key you pasted. Use a sandbox key, and keep the GPT for you or your team.
Postman and other API tools
Import the schema address into Postman, Insomnia or Bruno, then set the bearer token to a sandbox key. Every route, field and example comes with it.
Command line
A tryvidimus command-line tool (login, sessions, capture templates, balance, proofs, verification, webhooks) is built and will be published with the launch. It has the same safeguards: the key is never passed as an argument.
On npm: @tryvidimus/cli
